In many other parts of the civilized world, the adoption of personal incentive to cut carbon and use solar energy is encouraged. It is common-sense that if you have a problem, you do not contribute to making it worse. You'd think the people who supply oil and gas to you would recognize that---and they do. That is why they are trying to stop you from using solar panels by organizing lobbying of your state legislators by corporate power companies and utilities. In your future (if it hasn't happened already) there will be a law that prevents you from selling power generated by your solar panels back to the utility at market rates.
Think of it. Is there a clearer example of a UTILITY acting in its own interests rather than that of the commons? What's more, these same people are convinving your legislators to LIKE carbon...in steaming piles no doubt.
