Share with those who need it.  This has brought me great comfort, especially when I was struggling with the acceptance of having special needs children.

You, who are on the road,
Must have a code that you can live by.
And so, become yourself,
Because the past is just a good bye.
Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by.
And feed them on your dreams,
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by.
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.
Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by.
And feed them on your dreams,
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.......

That was beautiful piece destiny.  I got it.  Because of my friends daughter Cheyanne.
Her mom has to work a Saturday once a month, and since she has
no day care she brings her to me.  One day my neighbor and two year old daughter were over while Cheyanne was here.  The two year old could not verbalize Cheyanne, so she just called her "shiny" which has stuck ever since as nickname.  Shiny is downs syndrome.  And, without doubt, the most precious one year old I've ever met.  She's not a mean bone in her body.  I worried in the beginning how much work she might be, but I was wrong.  She has brought a beautiful perspective to our lives that shines.

Holland really can be beautiful!  Smiley

The first time I read the piece, I was moved to tears (it still does that to me) because it is such a beautiful way to articulate the experience.  It brings me comfort and I hope it brings others comfort as well!
