Destiny it is just incredible that our country and our military has been hijacked by this current administration.

I suppose it's even more unbelievable that Congress has allowed it to continue!

Where are their freaking b***s?

Destiny-----------I did some research on what is a Crime of War.  The military (it's soldiers) it's been said have been responsible for the tortures etc.,  Now they said no it came from the top.  How do we protect them???  It may be important for future involvements of the Soldiers that they not listen to those higher up but that the UN standards are maintained again.

Not the first time halliburton/kbr pulled something like this. Water, laundry, equipment, one horror story after another. And the government would fine them and take back more money. When I researched this about six months ago, Halliburton, was having charges filed against them like crazy and at the same time the government kept on funding them. This does not even get into the level of graft, luxury vehicles being leased, best accomodations and most of all COST PLUS:where your tax money goes to create waste and the more waste that is wasted the more the government will pay. So if you spend two dollars the government will pay you 2.50 for the product, just because, in another words a guaranteed profit. Legal theft and murder.

I think the Military has an obligation to support and defend the Constitution. It is  not merely a matter of "generals sticking to what generals do best: fight wars."

And with that in mind, I do not see the latest revelations about retired generals going over whole hog to Cheney's Dark Side  ( and willing painting a propagandist picture of this war or any war  ) as a sign of The Military attempting to police itself as they should.

We do have incompetent government in the elected ranks, but that is only a portion of the total assemblage. If we want there to be civilian control of the MIlitary, then we also have to be willing to call the Military down when it errs in its duties and responsibilities. They are not exempt regardless of our situation in a war or their circumstances in a VA Hospital or their rate of casualties, nor when their generals ply their appeals to fear through a passive media megaphone.

And when I read stuff like this, it reminds me that the Military is more than "a little bit willing" to participate in politicizing everything.
They cannot be "a little bit pregnant".

I am not sure. Bush has most people afraid and if they aren't afraid they are bought.
