Good post Lataet!

Thanks so much for laying out the TOS!

Due to concerns and apparent confusion about what information is appropriate to post on the blog, the core group and moderators have added detailed rules about what may and may not be posted on this site:

http://johnedwardsmovementcontin.smfforfree4.com/index.php/topic,479.0.html

These are matters of personal safety and respect for privacy rights.  Violation is grounds for immediate termination of service.

One question about copyrighted material stuff (not to challenge that ruling, don't worry, but just to define it better so I don't mess anything up):

Does that include links to other websites, and/or copy-paste of info from another site?

For example, if I wanted to post something from an article in the New York Times, can I post the link to that article?  Could I copy/paste some of that article, too? If I could, should I also be citing it (as in, "this article is from the 3/6/08 NYT")?

These questions may seem a bit anal retentive, and sorry if it's received that way -

A link is not a violation of copyright.  Full post of an article here, if they assert copyright, most likely a violation.  Not sourcing is plagarism.  Snippets from articles with a link, most likely will not raise any copyright issues.  JMHO.

Copyright laws say you can post a link along with a couple of paragraphs....not sure how many, without attribution, but to post the full text would be in violation.

Oh WAIT!!!!! I think a lawyer just posted what you could do!

MY BAD!!!!

I take it all back!  IGNORE!!!!

LMAO

PS.....A few years back I was accused of violating someone's copyright.  That's how I kinda know this.

And I wasn't guilty......of course! HA!

I've explained why I may have become abrupt in your last post.  So, please let in be known I have given my permission for everyone to call me on it when I come across like frisky puppy that just got off the leash.  I do mean it if I'm abrupt in any manner, please tell me immediately.  Thank you.

LOL Ommy!  Cute analogy of 'frisky puppy that just got off a leash'. hahahaha

I really do enjoy your posts and have not found any of them to be offensive.  You do seem frisky and friendly though! LOL

And that's a good trait!
