The ratings agencies that were complicit in the Crash-and-Bailout debacle are the focus of new legislation and that hit the mainstream media last week in a trickle of stories.

Then one of those ratings agencies produces this:

I think if you are one of the lucky few to actually have dough, its the time to buy.  Its all cyclical.  The rich buy low, sell high, foreclose, buy low, sell high.  If they find themselves in a cash crunch, go bk and so on and so on.....

I don't know why we should believe any of these agencies. On the other hand, they seem to be confirming what people I DO trust are saying.  So the best I think of them is this: they are trying to look good with sound predictions now before Congress tries to regulate them. 

But wait! Congress isn't trying to regulate anybody. They are busy trying to cut deals and leave loopholes in Reagan-era regulations.

It doesn't make sense to me.

Except the part of me that says: don't trust them...their lips are moving.
