Last week Thursday in Seattle, approximately 3000 people assembled in the Westlake Mall plaza to demonstrate for Single Payer. Not a peep in the local news, TV, Radio, or Internet about it. Last Month, a few dozen teabaggers made the rounds of every state town Hall meeting. Even those who were not allowed to disrupt the proceedings were interviewed by the local MSM outside.
Inside, not much of substance was reported by that same media, who were too fascinated with those who where shown the door.

Pelosi Rides "Trigger" today as she sings "Happy Trails" to the Public Option.
Reid is supporting the version written by Wellpoint.
Obama had a meeting the other day with the Blau Dogs and their closest supporters (like Joe Lieberman) in the White House--invite only.
I hear the gurgle of a drain----

I cry for Americans.
If Obama wasn’t so indebted to insurance companies, he could use his God given speaking talent to explain the health insurance option to Americans so they could understand.
Once it is explained honestly without the misrepresentations, and downright lies, even Republicans (at least those with reasonable intellects and consciences and who want to re reelected) and would vote for Medicare for all or at least an option to select not for profit government insurance.

"What if we go on a spending strike? Just hold on to our money until we get the public option, or even better single payer."
Wonderful idea indeed!
Who will organize this? I think it is a tremendous thought.
As a matter of fact, it we really wanted to and would organize, we the people could bring down the f- organizations that run our lives.

This whole thing is such a farce. Anything that passes will not benefit my demographic - people in the middle. Some of the poor may get better coverage (thank goodness) and the rich will be status quo - and the insurance companies will be smiling all the way to the bank. The average joes and janes will probably just be stuck with the bill. I just have to gag every time I see those Repugs proudly proclaim that they are denying coverage for millions of Americans so their rich insurance company buddies can keep lining their pockets. How they sleep at night is beyond me. UGH!!!

I'm not trying to keep up with the play by play on this Health care debate. I just want to see the end result before I pass judgment. I do think those against any kind of health care reform, are making a better show than those for it. I've called, wrote my Congressman & Senator and encouraged others to the same. It seems like my middle class friends and those that need it the most, don't care. All they want to do is b!tch and be negative.

I definitely care, particularly for the people who have no access at the moment - but every time I see a debate about this, I just get ill. I have also continued to write my Senators - my congresswoman is a lost cause, but I still write her just to let her know she does have some constituents that want a decent health care bill with a public option. Sorry to be so negative - but I just watched the news! Should never do that to my blood pressure.
